Fragments from Svan wall paintings

The most magical thing that a human has created is an image. There are such images, which carry such a charge that they are complete on their own, without an observer, on walls, in temples, in caves.

But when a person sees it, it becomes something even more important and fulfills the mission for which it was intended. It's so impactful, you want it to be yours, and one way to own it, is to photograph it. But the photo has its own laws, it is very subjective with its color, contrast, grain. On one hand, it becomes a property, but partially transforms the original. In fact, what camera you hold, what detail you capture, what you pay attention to, how you shoot and who you are, you create a new work, which for another viewer carries two impulses: one - what was in the original, and the second - what you changed.

Such is the "Svan word" seen by Mindia Charkseliani.
