PAVEMENTS’ MEMOIRS

GROUP SHOW

22.05-22.06.2010

By the end of the 20th century the Bolshevik Regime had gained an unparalleled power.

The total terror, seizure of victori in the WW II, occupation of almost half of Europe kept people under ashick and cast them into despair.

The men of art, however, would not give in: they strived to endure hunger and retained sense of humor. Perhaps, that was why the Communists were delivered several fatal blows- for instance, failed to divest musicians of tail coats and to wrap nude figures in clothes.

The authors of the selected works exhibited in our gallery belong to a common minded group of exactly that period: Avto Varazi, Pridon Gotsiridz, Albert Dilbarian, Vati Davitashvilli, Temo Machavariani, Vakho Rurua, Amir Kakabadze, Zaal Megvinetukhutsesi, Amiran Gogolashvili, Vasiko Varazi, Zura SEkhniashvili..

Regrettably, we could not so far Shota Dedabrishvilis works.
