Vernissage Gallery is thrilled to present solo exhibition and an exclusive representation of an exceptional Telavian artist Vakhtang (Vati) Davitashvili(1946-2000).

Davitashvili, a non-conformist painter with an extraordinary vision and outstanding artistic taste, who created a world filled with “colourful melancholy”. 

Still lifes, landscapes, streets of Telavi wrapped in a blanket of snow, houses lit up at night – they do not merely stand and gaze at us, but convey a sensation of something very important unfolding inside.

He paints the same landscape, the same house through a window in winter and autumn, inviting us to explore the flow of time alongside him. Everything keeps changing but never repeats itself.

Vakhtang (Vati) Davitashvili: Solo Exhibiton will open on October 28 and will be on view till November 30.
