Achievements:

 

1926   Founded a private art school in Tbilisi, Georgia.

1928   Lived in France and Argentina.

1947   The French government purchased three of the artist’s works.

1952   Moved to live in Paris.

1980   Participated in exhibitions in Belgium, Japan, and Iran.

1983   The PARIBAS Bank purchased his works in France.

1987   After the death of the artist, the first personal exhibition was arranged in Georgia. Bequeathed by the artist, ten works of the artist,               presented at the exhibition, were handed to the Museum of Fine Arts by his wife.

1988   The art dealer Paul Sönenberg published Varla’s catalog.

2009   The highest auction price – 39,785 USD. Millon & Associes, Paris, France.
