TAMUNA MELIKISHVILI

Tamuna Melikishvili is a visual artist based in Tbilisi Georgia.

She has participated in approximately forty solo and group exhibitions in Georgia and internationally, including projects in Israel, Germany, and Switzerland. Her work has been presented at the Beijing and Yerevan Biennials, at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, and at two international art fairs in Tbilisi, represented by Vernissage Gallery.

In addition to painting, Melikishvili has worked across various forms of visual art, including video art and performance. Her stained-glass designs have been realized in private interiors, and she has contributed to the graphic design of several publications. Her practice has also extended to cinema, where she has worked as a production designer and costume designer, as well as on stage design for children’s opera.

Melikishvili is the author of several monographs and has taught courses in contemporary art and book illustration at Nata Buachidze Art Studio.

Her works are held in the collections of the Shalva Amiranashvili Museum of Fine Arts and the Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery in Tbilisi, as well as in numerous private collections in Georgia and abroad.
